Classes

Basic Inspectionc back to ToC or Class ToC

IRI: https://w3id.org/iopce#InpeccionBasica

Visual inspection carried out by non-specialized personnel. This level of inspection provides a useful system for detecting early deterioration and thus preventing it from progressing into serious damage, as well as identifying any damage that requires urgent repair.

IRI: https://w3id.org/iopce#PropiedadIndiceDeCondicion

0-20: Structure without evident pathologies or with deteriorations that have no relevant consequences for the durability, service conditions, or safety of the structure. 21-40: Structure with deteriorations that may have a pathological evolution affecting the durability or service conditions of the structure. It is advisable to monitor its temporal evolution for objective determination. 41-60: Structure with deteriorations that indicate a pathology leading to a reduction in the service conditions of the structure. It will be necessary to track the evolution of the pathology in subsequent inspections. Medium-term action may be required to enhance the structure’s durability. 61-80: Structure with deteriorations or pathologies that can result in a modification of the load-bearing behavior or a significant reduction in service levels. Requires short-to-medium-term action. Depending on the nature of the damage, a special inspection may be necessary. 81-100: Structure with deteriorations or pathologies compromising the safety of the element/structure. Requires a special inspection and urgent intervention. In some cases, usage restrictions may be necessary

0-20: No significant consequences 'a priori' deterioration. 21-40: Deterioration that may have pathological progression or reduce the serviceability or durability of the element if not repaired in a timely manner. 41-60: Deterioration indicating a pathology that results in a reduction of serviceability or durability of the element. 61-80: Deterioration that can translate into a modification of the structural or functional behavior. 81-100: Deterioration that compromises the safety of the element

Main Inspectionc back to ToC or Class ToC

IRI: https://w3id.org/iopce#InpeccionPrincipal

Thorough visual inspection of all bridge elements, constituting a genuine auscultation of the structure. Initially, it does not require the use of extraordinary means. It should be carried out by specialized personnel under the supervision of an engineer. It is recommended that the first major inspection, commonly known as 'inspection zero', be conducted shortly before the bridge is put into service, as it will serve as a reference for assessing the evolution of deterioration.

Special Inspectionc back to ToC or Class ToC

IRI: https://w3id.org/iopce#InpeccionEspecial

Inspection arising from damage detected in main inspections or extraordinary situations. In addition to a visual examination, characterization tests and complementary measurements are required. These inspections necessitate the preparation of a characterization report and damage evaluation or a repair project.

IRI: https://w3id.org/iopce#accesibilidad

alta (high): - Repairs easily accessible for equipment and machinery that need to perform them: small scaffolding, basket with truck crane within 15 meters of reach. - No need to cut traffic for the execution of these works, or the cut has little importance. - No affected services. media (medium): - Requires the use of scaffolding of considerable height. - Small volume formwork is needed to support the elements. - It is necessary to resort to cranes with a reach of more than 15 meters. - Access roads or small platforms need to be created to reach the base of the element. - Other elements that can be reused need to be removed. - Special measures are required for the protection of people. - The affected services do not involve major works for their replacement (conduits under sidewalks, cables attached to the board…). baja (low): - Special scaffolding or large-volume formwork is required. - Cranes with a reach of more than 60 meters must be used. - An auxiliary work or road diversion is necessary to divert traffic. - Railway traffic is affected. - The work will be carried out in deep water, with divers or other special means. - Artificial peninsulas, enclosures with sheet piles, or particularly important platforms need to be created. - Other elements that need to be replaced must be demolished or removed. - Auxiliary works are needed for temporary protection in riverbeds, or important services may be affected, such as major conduits or sewerage, high-voltage lines, or railway catenaries
